Dolce & Gabbana is showing its couture in Puglia this summer

Dolce & Gabbana has announced that it will showcase its Alta Moda and Alta Sartoria collections, as well as its new high-end jewellery pieces, in the Puglia region of southern Italy from July 7 to 11. While the Italian brand has not yet disclosed the exact location of the exclusive event, it has mentioned that it will be held in “some of the most fascinating places of the Murge plateau”, a region that has become a popular tourist destination in the past decade due to its white villages and thousand-year-old olive trees. The collections are expected to showcase the craftsmanship and creativity of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, in dialogue with the precious local manufacturing and artistic heritage, combined with the most authentic popular tradition. The brand’s couture project was launched in 2012 and has since been presented exclusively in Italy, each time in an emblematic location such as Venice, Capri, or Florence, highlighting the know-how and tradition of Italian artisans.

Dolce & Gabbana’s Move From Syracuse to Puglia
After choosing Syracuse, a city on the island of Sicily, to unveil its Alta Moda and Alta Sartoria collections last summer, Dolce & Gabbana has now decided to stop in the Puglia region of southern Italy. Specifically, the brand will showcase its luxury collections in the Itria valley, which is known for its white villages and thousand-year-old olive trees. While the exact location of the event has not been disclosed, the brand has mentioned that it will be held in “some of the most fascinating places of the Murge plateau,” a region that has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the area over the past decade.

Dolce & Gabbana’s Presentation Approach and Focus on Local Craftsmanship
The designer duo of Dolce & Gabbana often relies on local craftsmen to present their collections, something that they like to highlight through their shows. For this presentation, the brand has said that it will showcase the “craftsmanship and creativity” of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, combined with the “most authentic popular tradition” of the local area. This approach is not new for the brand, which launched its couture project in 2012 and has since presented it exclusively in Italy, each time in an emblematic location such as Venice, Capri, or Florence, through lavish collections highlighting the know-how and tradition of Italian artisans.
