This collection held great significance for Jesús and ultimately became the catalyst that propelled him back into the fashion spotlight.

Jesús, llegó a mi estudio, lo pasé y lo primero que hice fue pedirle que se sentara en una silla negra que tengo para las visitas. Eran aproximadamente las 8:20 de la noche, había dejado de llover. Nos pusimos a platicar como si hubiéramos tenido la relación de mejores amigos de años. Me contó cada detalle, era la increíble oportunidad de poder conocer a fondo lo qué pasa con la gente que hace arte. Jesús acaba de ganar el primer lugar en ELLE México diseña y yo quería saber de él, de su vida.
Jesús es originario de un pueblo de Guanajuato, es adoptado. Llegó a la ciudad de México a la edad de 20 años apostando todo para cumplir su sueño. Le pregunté que cuanto tardó para llegar a donde está y él contestó que 5 años, también le pregunté que si él se había puesto una meta en cuanto al tiempo, me contestó que este 2017 había sido su límite, que si él no lograba algo en este año, él se retiraba. La vida le extendió el plazo.
Un año antes de cumplir su sueño, su mamá es diagnosticada con cáncer y Jesús deja todo para acompañarla dandose un receso de 1 año exactamente. Lamentablemente su mamá fallece y Jesús entra en una depresión que no veía final. Fue tal su tristeza que dudo en regresar a la moda.
Valle de Cocora, es la colección que él junto con su mamá estuvieron trabajando antes de que ella muriera. Esa es la razón por la cual esa colección es tan especial para él y fue la misma que lo puso en el medio de la moda nuevamente.
Me contó de su viaje a Amsterdam, de lo importante que fue haber ido a los campos de tulipanes para inspirarse en su creación para ELLE Mexico diseña, me contó de sus emociones y su miedos. Me dijo que estando en mi estudio le pareció una linda experiencia, sonreía al contarme de su madre y concluyó con una frase que me llegó al alma: “Fui feliz con ella y soy feliz sin ella”.
