Hello everyone, I’m Anita and welcome to Paulmann’s Light World. Today, I’m visiting Renata, who has been completely dissatisfied with the lighting in her kitchen. But that’s about to change, as she is the lucky winner of Paulmann’s “Light up your kitchen” giveaway.

Together with the Paulmann team, we will be transforming Renata’s kitchen into a bright and inviting space. So, come along with us on this journey!

Renata, who we are visiting today, is 49 years old and lives with her husband, son, and their dog, Bodo, in their own house. She is passionate about cooking and baking, with her favorite recipe being cheesecake. Their kitchen is not just a place for cooking and baking, but the central hub of their home. It’s where they gather with friends and family, and the open kitchen allows them to have a clear view from their dining table.

Unfortunately, the current lighting does not meet Renata’s needs. The old halogen under-cabinet lights are unreliable and do not provide enough illumination on the countertop. They also fail to serve their decorative purpose on the wall. We will be replacing these lights with LED surface-mount lights that feature a satin finish. These lights produce bright and even illumination without causing glare. We will be placing one light under each of the four cabinets, which can be easily fixed with a bracket. The cables can be discreetly hidden behind the furniture. These lights are also splash-proof, making them suitable for installation above the sink. They can be easily detached for cleaning, as I will demonstrate.

Moving on, Renata’s kitchen already has recessed lights, but they do not provide adequate lighting for the room and fail to illuminate the countertop properly. In fact, Renata often gets blinded when working on the countertop. We will no longer need these old recessed lights, as we will redirect the light upwards using the MaxLED strip. This creates a beautiful effect, making the ceiling appear higher and brighter. With a remote control, the brightness of the lights can be adjusted to suit different situations.

Renata has a large refrigerator that stands separately on the side. While it is a high-quality appliance that was part of the family’s dream kitchen, it remains in the dark and does not receive the attention it deserves. To address this, we will install a MaxLED strip on top of the refrigerator, directing the light upwards. This will provide better illumination for the refrigerator and the entire kitchen area.

Upon observing the overall kitchen, we realized that there is a general lack of adequate lighting. The existing lighting consists of two recessed lights and a light under the range hood, which often malfunctions. Initially, we considered using colored LED strips to create lighting effects. However, we decided that warm white light would be more suitable for Renata’s kitchen. The countertop is the central point of the kitchen, and it is always in view when Renata and her family sit at the dining table. To enhance this, we installed an LED strip light, specifically the MaxLED 500, under the countertop. This provides a lovely indirect light, creating a captivating atmosphere.
