Hi, I’m Claudia Gómez and in this video, I’ll be showing you how to make a natural homemade syrup that acts as an antibiotic and helps to relieve sore throats and boost your immunity. It also has digestive properties, making it perfect to drink year-round to keep your body in an optimal state of health.

To make the syrup, you’ll need just a few simple ingredients that you can easily find at your local grocery store: purple onion, a large garlic clove, cinnamon stick, ginger, lemons, and 100% pure raw honey. If you’d like, you can add a drop of clove essential oil for extra flavor and health benefits too.

To get started, cut the onion in half and wash the lemons well. You can leave the lemon peel on, as it’s full of antioxidants and nutrients. Next, peel the ginger and slice it into small pieces. You can also lightly crush the lemons to release more juice.

Add the onion, ginger, lemon, and garlic to a blender and pulse until well combined. Then, add the honey and blend again until smooth. If you’re having trouble blending everything, you can always squeeze the lemon juice into the blender first, and then add the remaining ingredients.

Finally, transfer the syrup to a glass jar with a lid and store it in the refrigerator. It’s important to use a glass jar, as the natural oils in the lemon could interact with plastic.

To take the syrup, simply stir or shake well and take one tablespoon a day for cold/flu prevention or up to three tablespoons a day when you’re feeling under the weather.

If you’re looking to soothe a sore throat or boost your immunity naturally, give this homemade syrup recipe a try!
