Hi everyone, welcome to Ladybug Kitchen! (´ ω `♡) In today’s video, we’re going to be making a delicious Kdrama-inspired recipe, featuring 2 pieces of ham and 2 strips of bacon. But before we dive into the recipe, let’s talk about the hit Korean drama series “18 Again”. It revolves around the life of Hong Dae-young, a 37-year-old husband and father who suddenly turns 18 again.

Dae-young used to be a popular basketball star in Serim High School, but he gave up his dreams to take responsibility for his girlfriend’s pregnancy and provide for his family. Fast forward to the present, Dae-young’s life takes a turn for the worst when his wife files for divorce and he loses his job. Faced with the desire to go back in time and make things right, Dae-young is given the opportunity to turn back into his 18-year-old self in a magical twist of fate.

Now, let’s get back to cooking! (´ ∀ ` *) We’ll start by making a delicious sweet egg sauce. In a small bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk. Give it a good mix! (* ^ ω ^) For those who love a bit of heat, you can divide the sauce in half and add 1 to 2 tablespoons of hot pepper sauce, such as Tabasco Habanero, for a sweet and chili version.

Next, let’s toast our brioche bread slices in a non-stick pan with melted butter or margarine. While they’re toasting, let’s talk about another memorable scene from “18 Again”: the Egg Drop cafe. This cute little spot serves the most amazing Korean Egg Toast in a minimalist box, and it’s where the young Jung Da-jung and her father share a heartwarming moment. It reminds us to cherish the simple joys of eating together with loved ones.

Now it’s time to assemble our sandwich. Spread the sweet egg sauce on one side of each toast slice, layer the cheddar cheese, bacon, and ham, and top it off with scrambled eggs. To make the scrambled eggs, whisk together 3 eggs, 1/8 cup of full cream milk, and a pinch of sea salt. Cook them until they’re fluffy and golden.

Finally, sprinkle some dried parsley leaves on top for that extra touch of flavor and aesthetics. And there you have it, our delicious Korean Egg Toast, inspired by the mouth-watering egg drop in “18 Again”! (っ˘ڡ˘ς) This recipe is a true taste of Korea, perfect for breakfast or a satisfying snack.

If you enjoyed this recipe, don’t forget to give this video a thumbs up and share it with your fellow Kdrama fans. And remember, if you’re craving more tasty recipes, be sure to check out my other videos on [LadyBug Kitchen]( Thank you for watching! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

This Korean street toast recipe is from the Kdrama series I’ve watched on Netflix titled “18 Again” starring Yoon Sang-hyun as Hong Dae-young, Lee Do-hyun as 18-year-old Hong Dae-young turned Go Woo-young and Kim Ha-neul as Jung Da-jung. This is Lee Do-hyun first lead role.

In this series, the eye-catching for me (of course!) is the minimalist store “EGG DROP” and their mouth-watering Korean Egg Toast in a cute minimalist box. The Korean egg drop toast/sandwich has fluffy scrambled eggs, crisp pieces of bacon, and melted cheddar cheese all wrapped together in a buttery toast drizzled with a sweet creamy sauce that inspired me to make one at home.
