  1. Kinda tired of these click bait claims. I figured this would be an insanely costly grocery list so I made a list to break down the real cost. All prices were found from Walmart in Indiana or Amazon for specialty items. I tried to find the cheapest items from my grocery store. "Can be assumed" items are regular items that you could expect anyone to always have.

    Center Dipping Sauce:

    – 1/3 cup (80g) mayo $3.98 (Can be assumed)

    – 2 tablespoons (29g) sriracha $2.40

    – 3 cloves grated garlic $1.76 (Can be assumed)

    – 1 tablespoon (11g) rice vinegar $2.73

    – togarashi sprinkle on top OPTIONAL $6.97 (Amazon)

    Cabbage Slaw:

    – 1/2 head green cabbage, shaved $4.15

    – 1 large carrot, julienned $0.98

    – 3 tablespoons (42g) mayo (Included previously)

    – 1-inch knob ginger, grated $0.90

    – 2 cloves grated garlic (Included previously)

    – 1 tablespoon (15g) soy sauce $3.58

    – 2 tablespooons (26g) rice vinegar (Included previously)

    – salt to taste $0.64 (Can be assumed)

    Rice:

    – 1.5 cups (302g) short-grain white rice $6.20

    – 1.5 cups (361g) water free

    – OPTIONAL furikake $6.44

    Teriyaki Chicken:

    – 4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless $5.60

    – 1 teaspoon (5g) sesame oil *optional $3.48

    – vegetable oil for sauteeing garlic $3.64 (Can be assumed)

    – 2 cloves garlic, thin sliced (Included previously)

    – 1/4 cup (58g) soy sauce (Included previously)

    – 1/4 cup (62g) white vinegar $1.28

    – 1/4 cup (58g) white sugar $2.94 (Can be assumed)

    – 1 teaspoon (2g) corn starch $2.08

    – 2 teaspoons (8g) water (to mix into cornstarch) free

    – green onion garnish – $.50 a bunch $0.88

    Tempura Vegetables:

    – 1/2 cup (75g) all-purpose flour $1.16 (Can be assumed)

    – 1 cup (237g) chilled carbonated water $0.92

    – additional flour for dredging (Included previously)

    – 1 cup broccoli florets $3.98

    – 1 sweet onion, cut into rings $1.07

    – 1/2 butternut squash cut into half-moons $4.48

    – lemon wedge $0.68

Total if you bought everything: $72.92
Total if you everything I assumed: $58.80

Lets also not forget the specialty equipment he uses. I found some examples on Amazon:
    Yaki grill ~$40
    BBQ wood for grill: $20
    Rice cooker: ~$30

So add an additional $90 to make it the way he did,

Well there went 20min of my time. Hope someone find this actually useful

  2. Heyy, is there any chance you have a recipe book filled with meals like these that are cheap as fuck but still amazingly tasty n good for you for people to buy? cough cough me a broke uni student
